10 Non-Banal Pork Garnishes

Like all housewives, I sometimes wonder what garnish to choose for pork. I know this feeling when on weekends with family it’s nice to eat pork steaks! I’ve been waiting for this all week! Welcome to see the most popular recipe on my website Perry’s Pork Chop Recipe steak.

In this article you will find no banal variants of pork garnishes.  And I also tried to share my kitchen life hacks for cooking. Have fun reading!

1.Potato pork garnish

The best option for pork garnish is, of course, potatoes. It can be baked, boiled, roasted (this option is not for health)

Obviously, I don’t need to teach you 😄

However, I want to share with the advice: how to make the potatoes even more delicious.

Try soaking peeled and sliced potatoes in cool water for about 30 minutes before boiling, roasting or baking them. Then wash them. When you wet the potatoes, most of the starch comes out of the potatoes. For example, if you make soup with moistened potatoes, potatoes melt well in the mouth, but do not decompose. My husband and my guests always know the difference between soaked and unprocessed potatoes.

And baked potatoes will cook faster and have a delicious crispy crust.

Please share your comments if you try this.

I want to share with you one intresting idea for serving of potato.

How to cook this appettasing potato?

Ingredients:

  • Potatoes (medium size) – 500 gr.
  • Garlic – 0,5 head.
  • Smoked paprika – to taste.
  • Minced black pepper – 1 pinch.
  • Salt – 1 pinch.
  • Olive oil – 50 ml

Instructions:

Finely chop the garlic and mix with the olive oil, spices, and salt.

Slice the potatoes as shown in the picture. You will need sushi sticks. Place them on the sides of the potatoes and cut them into equal slices. The chopsticks will not let the potatoes cut through completely.

Brush with a mixture of oil and spices.

Bake for 60 minutes at 360F degrees.

Enjoy!

2. Boiled Rice

I like to cook rice in a pot. This recipe makes the rice crumbly and very tasty.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Instructions:

Rice should be rinsed well, the more the better. This will wash away the starch that glues the rice, and the rice will be crumbly.

Pour water over the washed rice and put it on the fire.

Once it boils, add salt and oil and make a very low heat.

Cook on a low heat under a lid for 20 minutes.

3. Salads With Fresh Vegetables Like Pork Garnish

But if you ask me: What is the best side dish for pork and any other meat? I would answer that it is fresh vegetables and herbs. I didn’t include them in the first item just because potatoes and rice are classics. When your diet is mostly healthy, sometimes you want to make an exception, don’t you?

When we eat meat, the body needs lots of greens and vegetables to digest it. That’s what fiber is. This can be read in this scientific article. After such a dinner you will not feel heavy, and also enrich the intestinal microflora. In addition, it is very tasty.
You can just chop the vegetables and herbs, it’s quick and delicious.

Roast, boil or bake them, add your favorite seasonings, mix with pasta – a delicious side dish is ready!

  • Red lentils
  • Chickpeas

Instructions:

To do this, boil any grits well with salt, don’t drain all the liquid. Grind in a blender with the addition of black pepper.

By the way, mashed peas in our family like to serve with fish. Try it once and you will fall in love with this combination.
